High thermal mass benefits

Astra-Glaze-SW+ high thermal mass concrete masonry walls have a significant impact on the reduction of energy consumption.

Astra-Glaze-SW+ walls remain warm or cool long after the heat or air-conditioning has been turned off. As a result, heating and cooling loads are reduced and shifted to off-peak hours, reducing the environmental impact associated with excessive energy use

Mold and moisture resistant

Mold and moisture resistant, Astra-Glaze-SW+ offers a tight, impervious surface that resists exposure to potentially hazardous pollutants that may adversely affect the air quality for building occupants.

No VOC’s

Avoiding harmful pollutants to both building occupants and the environment, Astra-Glaze-SW+ units contain no harmful VOC’s.

Sound-absorbing option

Astra-Glaze-SW+ is available in a sound-absorbing option. Acousta-Wal® / Astra-Glaze-SW+ contains a significant amount of pre-consumer recycled content (available upon request).
