The VIP Car Wash, located in Staten Island, New York, is an extraordinary, state-of-the-art facility designed by one of New York City’s leading design firms, Salvadeo Associates Architects.  The firm’s Principal, David Businelli, AIA, utilized Astra-Glaze-SW+® glazed concrete masonry units throughout the building to create an aesthetically pleasing yet mold and moisture resistant facility.

USDA-approved for clean room environments, Astra-Glaze-SW+ glazed masonry units are mold and moisture resistant.  The tight impervious surface is exceptionally resistant to staining, abrasion, impact and chemicals.  Graffiti resistant, Astra-Glaze-SW+ is virtually impenetrable to spray paint, permanent markers and grease.

By using Astra-Glaze-SW+ glazed concrete masonry units extensively throughout the car wash, lube center, detailing area and convenience store, Salvadeo Associates Architects created a dynamite show-piece for this one-stop facility that’s every car’s fantasy.  Flooded with natural light, the vivid colors and open design capture the essence of a refreshingly clean facility that serves only the very best VIP treatment.
